This is very accurate; go to mökki (cottage) in the woods (which is preferably near a lake,) get drunk, grill some sausage and other food of choice, go to a sauna, listen to/make some music, have a dip in the lake (no drowning accepted), and repeat this for 2-4 days, and you'll be good for the rest of the year (until Joulu, that is Xmas.) Those guys are good, they must have spent a lot of time choosing the songs, learning them and arranging them into a compilation. I agree that some of the snippets are too short, but the video is already 10 minutes long, so they had to compromise somewhere. There were many good rock songs, both old and new, so it gives you a good starting point if you like rock. It was a fun detail that the video quality changed with the decades.

I loved Spede show's "Naisen logiikka" (Woman's logic) sketches. They are about a guy who constantly argues with his wife about things and she always has some weird logic to explain things. It's hilarious and if you can find any clips with subtitles they are worth a watch.

This live recording is from Helsinki in 2005, then together with Tarja Turunen [pronounced Tar-rya], the 1st female singer of the band, and Marco Hietala, bassist and singer. About the instrumental and vocal added parts - it's good to know they recorded their orchestral and vocal back tracks with prestigious institutions as London Philharmonic Orchestra. London's The Metro Voices choir group and London's Young Musicians Children's Choir as their regular partners. Since this is your first Nightwish reaction, it is my duty to give you the [updated] short history of the band concentrated by Ann Waychoff, one of the biggest Nightwish fan who has since passed away (and I am doing this in her memory): " Nightwish was started in 1996.They are considered a Symphonic Metal band, with a female main singer. They are from Finland. Tuomas Holopainen [pronounced Tuo-mas], the keyboard player, composes and writes the lyrics for 95% of their music. The level of vocals is to expected from Tarja who is opera schooled. But Marko "Marco" Hietala the bassist is just a force of nature: his his mastery of and his comfort in his own voice, and the range are just remarkable. The band is just magnificent, and they have a back catalog of 28 years, feel free to explore them more if you feel like it.

Yes, my favourite metal band! There are many good Finnish metal bands, but Nightwish is the most popular band internationally based on sales. They started in 1996 and are still going strong, and their new album will be released in September 2024.
